Max Zbilut - Special Education Teacher
This is my 6th year teaching at Highland and I come from Kenosha, WI where I taught as a cross-categorical special education teacher in a fully inclusive classroom for the Kenosha Unified School District. Before my time in Kenosha, I taught for Milwaukee Public Schools as a self-contained special education teacher and in Daegu, South Korea as an English language instructor. Prior to starting my career in teaching, I was an assistant soccer coach at Carthage College and a therapist for the Wisconsin Early Autism Project. I have earned bachelor degrees in psychology and special education as well as a M.Ed in guidance and counseling. My passion for teaching coincides with my passion for learning, travel, and almost any outdoor activity with my family. I love teaching and coaching at Highland and am looking forward to continuously providing an excellent education for the students at this wonderful school! Jessica Key - This will be my 6th year as a special education teacher in District 70 and I am so excited to be your child’s teacher!
