-Writing utensils (pencil only for math)

- 1-2 binders with dividers
- Homework folder
- Assignment notebook
- Workbook (for math class)
- 2 notebooks (math, social studies)
- Loose leaf paper
- Calculator (for math)
Classroom Rules:
1. Be on Time
- In the classroom by the time the bell rings
2. Be Respectful
- Of peers, the teacher, and yourself.
- Listen to opinions without making judgments.
- Use appropriate language
3. Be ready to participate
- Willing to raise hand to share ideas
- Listen to others’ ideas
- Follow teacher directions
Expectations:
- You should have all the needed materials required for class every day. These
need to be placed on your desk so you are ready to learn at the bell.
- Use the washroom BEFORE entering the classroom. You will receive three hall
passes for each of your instructional classes per trimester. These are to be used
only for emergencies. Extra hall passes at the end of each trimester will be collected.
- Bring a free reading book to language arts and literature every day.
- Class starts and ends with the bell; do not start packing and lining up at the door.
You are to remain IN YOUR SEAT until the bell rings.
Grading Policy:
Each class grade will be based on homework assignments, projects, and
tests/quizzes. Each assignment will be weighed equally towards the final grade.
Student Assistance:
If you need any extra help, please let us know. We are available during
student assistance Fridays at 8:15. We may also be able to provide help during your
instructional study hall period or during lunch/recess as requested.
